Force Force sweep Phantoms

The Fargo Force swept the Youngstown Phantoms at the Covelli Centre in Youngstown, Ohio.  The Force are now only four points out of first place in the West Division and four points away from having the best record in the USHL.

On Friday, the Fargo Force were led by Chase Grant with one goal and an assist and Colten St. Clair with two assists.  The Force also got offensive contributions from:  Garrett Allen (1g), Nick Oliver (1a), Matt Leitner (1a), Corey Leivermann (1g), Nate Condon (1g), Chad Demers (1a), Johnnie Searfoss (1a).  Ryan Massa stopped 24 of 26 in the 4-2 victory.

On Saturday, the Force were led by Matt Leitner with a goal and an assist.  Garrett Allen and John Stampohar also scored for the Force.  Also assisting on the Fargo Force goals were:  Chase Grant, Colten St. Clair, Eamonn McDermott, Corey Leivermann and Blake Doerring.  Ryan Massa stopped 22 of 24 in the 3-2 victory.

It may be too early to say this because they have a long way to go, but the Anderson Cup is looking like it could be a serious possibility for the Fargo Force this year.  The Anderson Cup is the trophy awarded to the top team in the regular season.  Of course the ultimate goal for the Fargo Force is the Clark Cup awarded to the winner of the championship game in the USHL.
